Executive

The Executive Branch is an extremely important representation of our government.

The following components are included in this branch: The President, The Vice President, The Cabinet

 

 

  • The President: Like all other officials, the president enforces laws that are conducted by the constitution and decides important roles that are needed such as Chief Justice, members of the Cabinet, and other heads of federal agencies. The power of the executive branch is indeed vested in the president, creating a true reliance on that position and person for the job. There is a lot more that means the eye that just “being in charge of our country.” He implements policy, can veto bills enacted by congress, negotiate/sign treaties with other countries, extend pardons, and overlook federal crimes for the other persons benefit. Those are just some of many powers that one person alone has the capability of doing.

 

  • The Vice President: The primary role of the vice president is to prepare to sub in for the president whenever necessary and have the willingness to take that position as soon as needed. Their position is also working in the senate as the president of the United States and the necessary powers entailed in the constitution. (Located in Section I Clause I)

 

  • The Cabinet: This component to the executive branch is an advisory/suggestive panel that includes the heads of 15 departments, appointed by the president then confirmed by the senate. All the members are considered and addressed as Secretary with the exception of the Head of the Justice Department who is named the Attorney General…The following are the departments apart of the cabinet; The Department of Agriculture, The Department of Commerce, The Department of Defense, The Department of Education, The Department of Energy, The Department of Health and Human Services, The Department of Homeland Security, The Department of Housing and Urban Development, The Department of the Interior, The Department of Justice, The Department of Labor, The Department of State, The Department of Transportation, The Department of the Treasury, The Department of Veteran Affairs
